This is the story of a little girl who has the same liver disease as my son. The disease is unpredictable and some kids can go 5, 10 or 20 years without a transplant. Others need it immediately. My son is doing very, very well and looks like he could a long time without a transplant. This girl is doing very well after her transplant. Her doctor is also my son’s doctor and is a breast cancer survivor. She is the person on earth whose life I would save if I could save only one, other than anyone in my family, I have not read the whole article because I’m physically incapable.

I’m very excited to announce that Jason Woliner and I have sold 3 movies to Judd Apatow and Universal!

One idea is tentatively titled “Let’s Do This” and is a road movie about two guys that work for a motivational speaking company.

Another idea is about two disgraced astronauts who have to go back to space to clear their names.

And the other idea is a movie based around Randy, my character for “Funny People.”

We’re currently working on all three ideas now and haven’t decided which we will go with first.

Needless to say, we are very excited to be working with Judd on these projects. Unfortunately, this does however put Jason and I’s plan to remake Short Circuit 2 (with myself playing the Michael McKean role in a revolutionary new makeup technique called “peachface”) on hold indefinitely.

Emphasis mine. Everything about this is awesome, but a possible RAAAAAAAANDY movie is a Thanksgiving Eve Eve miracle.

There is something about these types of stories that is so satisfied with really getting into what “life” is all “about.” Except that that’s not what life is all about. I mean, it happens, a lot even, but life is about a lot of other things too. It is a justification to the people who cheat, as in “we are all human and therefore your miserable and disrespectful behavior can be chalked up to the silly quirks of our natures,” and it is also a justification to the people who want to wallow in the personal misery of what was done to them. Love triangle dramas are basically stoner comedies. There is something in your life that you think gives you a better understanding of the world, and that grants you access to an exciting club. Except that you don’t know anything more about life, you’re just as hurt and confused as everyone else, and your club is self-destructive, solipsistic, and stupid. You should get a better club!”
